Floral Cocktail (with Photo Edit Tips) from The Yard

Spring Floral Cocktail (with photo editing tips)
Spring Floral Photo Cocktails (with photo edit tips)
Still from our full bloom spring (was officialy still winter) yard. Actually, the yellow flowers have been replaced by dandelions and little purple cones-like flowers. I was sadly surprised because I was just about to take some pictures of them when the gardener had been doing the lawn so they are all gone now, nothing but a flat square of grass. Too late. Here the rest of beauties from our yard.

Put my cam on the grass and run flat to wall
(Timer selfie tips: experiment putting cam on anything but be secure. I have destroyed my previous cam because of this)
Photo edit tips: when I have photos with a boring background, sometimes I mix-layer it with another photos. It is not ment to fake a double-exposure technique. I just play around as I like, erase some part, or add more elements until desirable effect is achieved. The result examples are the 4 first photos above.

See my style blog Naty Ponders for more photos of these series here : On The Yellow Carpet Under Sunshine.

Lastly...Happy a little bit belated Easter to you who celebrate and Happy Kartini Day to all women. Kartini is Indonesian peoneer in women's rights. She is our hero. Have a super inspiring day!

  1. I really like the photos with the double exposure. Mostly that one with the wall and shadows of tress and you! :) It's a nice thing to play around with.

Thank you for your comment! Your German was good enough so I could understand everything.
I definitely know what you mean. Dirndl aren't easy to buy, you really need a specialized shop so everything can fit. ^^
And a lot of the young girls overact with the shortness of their skirts or décolleté.

    1. Danke schön, Christine. Yes, it's about playing around and having fun too, no need to try too hard to make it look like real camera-produced double exposure, free imagination hehe.

Thanks for your reply too. I do love Dirndl and Tracht, Too bad I am less lucky one in the fitting so I have to customize as you said. Have a lovely day! I get back to you soon.

PS: yuhuuu, echt ist mein Deutsch gut genug? You made my day, danke!:)

  2. Thank you for your lovely words to my recent photos! You really said what I wanted to express with them and it's great to read someone really sees that through the photos!

Real double-exposures are amazing fun. ;) Played around with that a bit over the last time and loved it. But it isn't that easy... I guess an app is more fun.

    Wish you a great weekend!

    1. Thanks to you, Christine. I think you are very talented indeed, you've done great works, because It's not easy to take photos that show and deliver the same message as you would like to.
Agree the real double exposure one is not easy too. I also like to try apps and software. Glad they come up more and more nowadays :).
      Happy weekend to you too!
